
Dr. Cheryl L. Schmitt started her chiropractic education as a child when she received her first chiropractic adjustment at the age of four. She has continued to receive chiropractic care as her primary source of care for the last 28 years. Dr. Schmitt graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the oldest and most prestigious Chiropractic college in the
United States
. At Palmer College, she completed five years of training in Chiropractic and also received her Bachelor of Science degree. Before Palmer College, Dr. Schmitt attended the University of Manitoba for pre-medical studies.
Dr. Schmitt has practiced Chiropractic as a student and a doctor in
Montana
,
Iowa
,
Washington
and internationally in
Hungary
. In 2003, Dr. Schmitt earned her Pediatric Certificate of Proficiency and became Webster Technique Certified. She is currently a Distinguished Research Contributor for the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and continues her studies in Pediatrics and Pregnancy Chiropractic care. Dr. Schmitt is an outspoken advocate for natural, drug-free birth and life, and lectures to empower women on their birth choices. She also lectures on causes of birth trauma and chiropractic’s role in restoring and maintaining a healthier life for both mother and child.
Dr. Schmitt currently practices in a family and wellness based office in Washington State. She is
co-owner and chiropractor of Vital Chiropractic, PLLC with her husband Robert J. Schmitt, D.C. They have one child, born at home, under chiropractic care and living a drug-free life. They are looking forward to adding a new addition to their family in the summer of 2008.
